Are you a Test Engineer with experience testing power distribution control systems, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have passion for future vehicle development? If so, Assystem have an opportunity for you One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is currently recruiting for a Battery Load Test Engineer to project lead vehicle testing. Based in the UK you will be working within a dedicated and enthusiastic team of electrical engineers on rolling contract basis. This Test Engineer role will involve validating load management; battery, alternator and power distribution and electrical control systems to the set standards. As a global leader in automotive vehicle development and production, within the role of Test Engineer you will primarily be responsible for: The validation of harness, battery, alternator and power distribution electrical control systems Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test Overall vehicle test technical coordination role Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management To be considered for the role of Test engineer, you will ideally have the following knowledge, skills & experience: Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline Understanding of electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices Understanding and experience of battery quality requirements Ability to advise all areas of the business on best practise for battery stock management, vehicle power management Ability to operate Can-alyser and interpret the results You will have completed at least two vehicle development cycles or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
