Quality Assurance Manager (Manufacturing) Location: South Bedford Salary: To £38,000 plus pension, life assurance and more Quality Assurance Manager We are a well established Bedfordshire based Manufacturing business. Due to our current Quality Assurance Manager relocating, we now have a vacancy for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager from a Manufacturing background (non food) to join our team and ensure that the Quality Assurance department's business strategy, KPIs and operations performance is successfully delivered. We invite applications from science degree educated (chemistry, chemical engineering, material science) Quality Assurance Professionals with considerable experience of managing a team and knowledge/experience of SPC techniques. Quality Assurance Manager - Management of the Quality Assurance team; coaching, and training in response to problems and to improve processes - Monitor the Quality Control results and work with R&D and QC teams to identify and implement improvements to test methods and procedures - Manage QC master data (SAP, record files, QC specs, BBA quality plans) - Evaluate and reduce product & process risk (Process capability, control plans, FMEA, MSA) - Work with and support all departments across the 3 sites to improve processes, standards, systems and procedures - Conduct supplier evaluations and work with R&D and Purchasing to specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers. - Oversee the management of non-conforming products and raw materials from initiation to closure; driving root cause analysis projects and manage corrective and preventative actions as necessary - Work with the Technical Services / Customer Services teams to investigate customer complaints - Manage departmental KPI's and report out weekly and monthly to team (Supplier, Internal & Customer) When applying for this role, please indicate your current salary (plus benefits package), minimum salary required, notice period and your reasons for wishing to move from your current company.
