Customer Service and Logistics Manager
Our client is a division of a Global Precision Engineering Group who manufacture electromechanical process control products. They have an opportunity for a Customer Service/Logistics Manager based at their site in Milton Keynes. The main purpose of the role is to lead the Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse and Shipping teams. Key to the role will be the effective management of resources and leadership of people in your team, with a focus on the Lean ethos to continually improve information accuracy and flow of product from order placement to delivery. Key Requirements: - Excellent MRP architecture knowledge and experience (how it works and what drives the triggers). - Excellent understanding of data drivers to develop sound front end strategies for finished goods. - Experience in real Sales, Financial and Operational Planning from a forecast and order to cash basis. - Experience as a Master Scheduler would be preferable. - Warehouse management or leadership would help, with real life examples of effective change for improvement in material visualisation, flow and turn. - To have had experience of direct contact with a Key Customer. - Experience in a similar environment (high mix low to medium volume but complex production) - Understanding and experience in leading metric management, data analysis and capturing the relevance of the results to drive forward with improvement rollout within the team. - EXCELLENT resilience in leading change management The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years production planning/scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment and hold a recognised qualification in Supply Chains Management (CIPS) and/or planning (HND/HNC). They should also be IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MRP/ERP systems) and have the confidence and assertiveness to challenge existing practices and to influence others.
