To lead, develop and manage the site SILS & manufacturing areas: VAA, Engines, SILS and Body Shop. To ensure a quality service is achieved and consistently delivered whilst maintaining continuity of supply to the customer, safely, in time and to budget. Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure manufacturing performance targets on Production, Quality, cost, delivery, 5S are achieved and maintained - Work alongside other departments to ensure correct manning levels and cross functional training - Attend daily Meetings - Ensure all disciplines/return to works are completed by supervisors - Full handover to next shift - Early to lates and lates to nights - Daily patrolling areas - Ensuring layered audits, SOR's and SOT's are completed - Ensuring all near misses/hazard spots are put on the data base - Development of skilled workforce into JIT Environment standard practices. - Ensure records are maintained relating to training, quality, TPM etc. - Work alongside other departments to identify training needs for development of Team Members, leaders & supervisors - Using skills & knowledge provide support to all teams throughout site. - Organise and facilitate daily department meetings, ensuring effective and relevant communications throughout the areas of responsibility - In addition to the above the Manufacturing Shift Manager will perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Operations Manager Performance Measures: - Delivery KPIs - Customer feedback - Cost KPIs - People KPIs - Achievement of yearly personal targets and objectives - Feedback from internal colleagues and the site manager - Profit and loss performance of the site
