Programme Manager - Mode 5 IFF A Programme Manager is required to work on a permanent basis for our Defence client based in Luton. This is a permanent opportunity with a leading defence business Overview of the Programme Manager - Mode 5 IFF opportunity An Experienced Programme Manager to provide the leadership and management of the IFF Mode 5 Export IPT within the Support & Service Solution (S3) Line of Business. The Programme Manager will be responsible for applying effective people management and leadership to develop, enhance and deliver against multiple project activities of varying complexity and the role includes aspects such as demonstrated financial performance, strategic direction, product development and business growth. This role will be based at Capability Green, Luton and will involve frequent overseas travel. Key skills required for the Programme Manager Proven experience as a Programme Manager or other managerial position Experience of remotely managing of multi-disciplined teams to deliver multi million-pound development and production projects, with a focus on achieving high performance against objectives Demonstrated ability to influence both internally and externally at all levels, including senior management. Good computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications and SAP functions related to Project execution, cost control and planning. Working knowledge and experience of policies & practices in particular related to Life Cycle Management, Risk Management and Project Execution. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally Ability to proactivity manage poor performance and conflict resolution to mitigate detrimental impact to the customer, IPT and project objectives Able to provide effective delegation, management and coordination of tasks and activities to achieve the objectives of the IPT including setting clear objectives / expectations on outputwith assigned budget and timescales Able to work autonomously Pro-active with a 'can do' attitude striving for continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency Flexible and adaptable to change and adversity with the ability to manage the IPTs motivation and enthusiasm throughout. Excellent problem solving skills and initiative with the ability to think laterally Working knowledge of Engineering, Commercial and Procurement aspects of project execution. Typically, degree qualified or equivalent. APMP or PRINCE-2 Certified Transfer of technology experience required.
