Project Manager - Agile Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £350 -£400 per day 6 month initial contract with high possibility of long term extension. An exciting opportunity to be part of the Project Management team driving multiple projects and high profile multi million pound programmes from an infrastructure perspective. The projects vary in size, duration (from a few weeks to a few months) and technology that may involve Agile development and technical delivery teams. Requires the ability to define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value. Will also require project reporting and liaison / co-ordination with internal technical teams and external business units both in the UK and Globally. Strong analysis and technical skills are essential. Assignments will include a range of strategic infrastructure and broader IT projects and programmes. Candidate will support and make recommendations to senior management to resolve issues affecting project and programme delivery and will be the point of escalation for resolution of major project and programme issues affecting scope, cost etc. Will be required to proactively identify opportunities for earlier delivery of infrastructure and associated benefits. Please note that this job may require occasional travel to other sites and possible out of hours work for project implementations including some weekends. The ideal candidate will have: Expert level MS Project and proven track record of detailed project and programme planning and implementation. Ability to build strong cross/global team relationships and manage project resources across matrix functional organisation structure. Excellent written and oral communications Team player Ability to operate in dynamic environment. Flexible work approach. Ability to self-manage and prioritise workloads, and to foresee and pre-empt issues Significant release management experience delivering and managing change Broad knowledge of Microsoft enterprise desktop computing environments Good knowledge of testing methodologies and performance, penetration and DR test plan management Excellent SharePoint and expert Excel skills which are used to quickly implement high quality processes and reporting to quickly mobilize programs Resource modelling expertise and capability to develop options with varying cost and schedule benefits Rigorous and consistent approaches to the management of risk, issues and project change Ability to translate high level business and technical objectives into project deliverables Collaboration. This role works in a collaborative manner with all team and vendor resources of a project throughout the lifecycle Strong Business Judgement and Influence. Must be able to influence others within the project team using their technical expertise to identify and address project issues Continuous Process Improvement. Working with leaders/owners of the process or service to understand current practices and identify areas for improvement, including running workshops Proven track record of managing and delivering large, complex infrastructure projects using Agile methodologies (SCRUM) Ability to provide leadership to technical delivery resources and collaborate with customers Creative approach to problem solving Exposure to desktop solutions, Websphere, Active Directory, DATM, Networks, Full JD available upon application
