They are looking for a Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join their expanding team as they grow as a business. A very exciting time to join one of the UK's main packaging suppliers who supply into some of the most well-known Blue Chip suppliers. Role & Responsibilities: Maintaining plant services in a safe working condition across a fast moving production environment. The re-furbishment, preparation and repair of compressors, boilers, pumps, rollers, conveyors and pinchains. Assisting with mechanical plant breakdowns. Engineering project work within the plant Assisting with line conversions. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Must be a Mechanical Engineer Previous experience of working in manufacturing company - Preferably Steel, packaging, automotive, beverage industries Must have experience of working in a workshop environment and knowledge of machine ship processes and practices. Apprenticeship in a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering Discipline Strong toolmaking skills - competent working with lathes, manual millers, mills, grinders. Ability to assist with breakdowns and line conversions Strong team ethic, willing to help in all areas, with a passion to progress and learn Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Workshop Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Workshop Engineer, Mechanical Fitter. Shifts & Benefits Package: Shift: - Monday - Friday Days - 7:45am - 16:00pm Salary: - £45,000 - £49,000 Benefits: - Private Pension, Life Assurance, 18month training & development plan.
