Our client has a vacancy for a Test Manager reporting to the Operations Project Manager. The role will involve managing and maintaining a first class testing facility, ensuring that all Group project deliverables have met or exceeded their quality control criteria. Responsibilities include: · Management of all testing activities across the project portfolio / changes · Management of the testing team · Documenting policies, processes and procedures that define the framework and methodology · for all testing activities delivering system and business change · Ensuring quality project testing documentation as required by each project · Reviewing and approving project testing deliverables · Reviewing project deliverables as appropriate · Offering professional advice, guidance and instructions to testing work streams within a project · Inputting to initial project planning, estimating and testing approaches · Building and maintaining strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders who are · involved in the testing activities · Working collaboratively with software suppliers to ensure a unified approach to quality · management The successful candidate must meet level 6 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) (degree level or equivalent) and will ideally have the ISTQB or ISEB certification to advanced level. Knowledge required: · Experience of test management in multiple large scale projects that involve complex system · integration / multiple suppliers · Experience of test execution, including performance, security and volume testing · Experience of managing and developing test analyst resources · Ability to perform test management at a profession level · Knowledge of all aspects of the testing life cycle, methodologies and practices · Ability to prioritise workload · Ability to co-ordinate teams and people · Ability to multi-task across multiple projects · Planning test work streams and resource allocation · Effective leadership · Good communication skills, both verbal and written appropriate for the stakeholders involved Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
