OVERVIEW Provide robot process support along with direction to the organization through process planning, design, support, and execution. Successfully participate in multiple application projects as a robotics technician based in Milton Keynes. Tasks: Primary focus involves startup, programming, and debugging of robotic part washers and Powertrain assembly equipment. Specific competence in high pressure aqueous cleaning, debugging, and subsequent drying of machined part assemblies is highly desirable and or along with competence with Powertrain engine, transmission, cylinder head assembly. - Support installations of Robotic Automated Systems in the Uk and Europe - Startup, Debug and Production support involving robots and electromechanical systems - Manage technical solutions to minimize costs while maintaining reliability - Provide industry specific application knowledge and direction - Review requirement and design specifications - Maintain Customer Specifications and logging of deviations - Present product features and benefits to customers - Provide support for product development - Develop tools and integration strategies to increase effectiveness and lower cost - Investigate and suggest process and technology enhancements - Assist in developing Controls specifications for projects - Project tasks completed on schedule and under budget - Controlled code incident management with minimal impact to customers production - Product cost containment through improved engineered solutions Requirements: Essential: - Advanced training, knowledge, and awareness in Automated Systems and Robot Applications: High pressure aqueous part cleaning,Drying after aqueous parts cleaning Gravimetric testing of parts for cleanliness and contaminates Powertrain Engine Assembly (crankshaft load, torque to turn, Cup plug & dowel pressing, valve installation and key up, etc) - Functional knowledge of Robotics and/or Automation: Robot path programming Robot fault recovery Robot interface and control - Functional experience working with engineering design projects and machine startup - Functional Robot Electrical Maintenance Skills - Functional Robot Programming Skills - Familiar in the application and debug of control components: - PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller),HMI's,Safety Controllers,Field BUS I/O,DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, ProfiBUS, InterBUS, AZIBUS, RFID (Radio Frequency ID) tags (Interface, Reading and Writing),VFD and Servo Motors,Conveyor transport, stops, rotates and trafficking control,Power distribution and protection,Familiar with IEC specifications,Familiar with Ford, GM, Chrysler drawing standards Education & Experience Required: - A qualification in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field preferred. - Automated System Controls Design - 3 year minimum experience in related field - Demonstrates persistence.
