Job Title: HR On-Boarding Assistant Manager Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 DOE Excellent Benefits including 25 days' holiday PLUS bank holidays, pension et al Job Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Job Reference: PH9269 Role description The shared service organisation requires a team leader to lead the Onboarding team. The primary function of this role is the end to end case management of the Onboarding of all new hires to the firm to ensure that they have a seamless and welcoming joining experience. The role is with the on boarding team within the HR area of the Shared Services Organisation proving end to end Onboarding services for all hire types, including pre-employment screening, current employment screening compliance checks and escalations, offer withdrawals, contract and candidate management. The on-boarding team totals eleven people, all of whom are based in Milton Keynes, and all as part of the Shared Services Organisation. The Shared Service Organisation is based in Milton Keynes in the UK, supporting the UK and Swiss firms comprising 14,000 partners and staff including 24 UK offices and 5 Swiss Offices. Responsibilities - Management of all onboarding processes related to the hiring of all experienced hire, contingent workers, partners, work experience and graduates - Management of onboarding processes such as - pre-employment screening, current employment screening, compliance checks and escalations, offer withdrawals, contract and letter production, administration of any SAP updates, end-to-end candidate management - Actively manage a team within the Shared Services Organisation on a day to day basis including coaching, training, management of timekeeping, holidays and sickness, organisation of the rota, resource planning, and ensuring service level agreements and targets are met - Performance management of a team of Assistants and Senior Assistants, including one to one's, providing feedback, and dealing with absence management and return to work interviews - Ensure work is appropriately distributed and completed within the team accurately and in a timely manner - Targets for KPIs and SLAs are monitored and are the prime responsibility of the Team Leader - Point of contact for escalation of more complex issues from Assistants and Senior Assistants in the team - To deputise for the H2R management team during periods of absence - Take responsibility for keeping up to date with HR policy and process developments, sharing experience with the Assistants and Senior Assistants to increase their knowledge, skill and competence within the role - Identify process issues/opportunities for improvement and raise with the Team Manager to ensure efficient ways of working - Ensure compliance with appropriate Data Protection legislation at all times - Contribute to wider Shared Service Organisation initiatives as required - Co-ordinate and chair Team Meetings, deliver briefings - If required during periods of peak activity in the H2R, to complete administration and any SAP related input in respect of the wider H2R processes as set out in procedural guidelines - Liaison with other Shared Services Organisation teams as appropriate Requirements - Continually looks to improve knowledge of clients and the business, and how to make a difference - Successfully builds client relationships - Can put forward effective solutions - Influence clients to make appropriate decisions - Can develop long term relationships with clients - Applies knowledge of competitors and market trends in practice - Displays professional approach at all times - Is able to produce strategically sound ideas - Actively promotes change - Is able to give constructive regular feedback - Can anticipate and take action to remove barriers to achieve results - Supports others to reach their goals - Promotes teamwork - Shows genuine interest in others - Demonstrates honesty, integrity and transparency when dealing with others - Is comfortable in taking own decisions - Can multi-task - Always considers risk implications on actions taken - Has knowledge of budget restraints and can work within these - Has analytical skills - Team management experience required - HR knowledge preferable - Experience of the core Microsoft Office packages is essential and knowledge of SAP or similar HR systems is desirable Wilde Associates is working in the capacity of an Employment Agency in respect of this role.
