Ashbourne Day Nurseries is dedicated to providing the best possible learning experience for children in a loving and friendly atmosphere. Ashbourne Day Nurseries is a rapidly growing group of nurseries and wrap around care who are aiming to be the best in the industry. We strongly support training and developing the right candidates and will encourage their career development as the group grows.
Due to recent growth we have a position available for a Wrap Around Care Leader. The right candidate will be responsible for promoting our vision and ethos to ensure that a child-centred, safe and stimulating environment is provided, meeting the needs of every individual within a group setting.

Responsibilities

  • To lead the wrap around care team
  • Ensure all children are safeguarded
  • Ensure excellent high quality childcare
  • Planning activities appropriate to the age and development of the children.
  • Take an active role within the senior management team
  • To ensure a friendly, caring and relaxing environment for the children.
  • To supervise staff and students in training and maintain a proactive and professional team.
  • To ensure all daily routines are adhered to and records kept up to date.
  • To maintain staffing levels, arranging cover when needed.
  • To plan and carry out activities in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Setting the Standards for Learning.
  • Work in close partnership with parents/carers to develop independence, confidence and self esteem.
  • To conduct regular reviews with your team and annual Staff Development and Performance Reviews.
  • To ensure your specific duties regarding Health and Safety and fire procedures are understood and actioned.
  • Attend training/ staff training as and when required.
  • To carry out any ad hoc projects or duties as requested by your Line Manager.
  • To take responsibility of yourself and others to comply with Ashbourne Day Nurseries Health and Safety rules.
  • This specification is not exhaustive and additional tasks are as directed by the Nursery Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of working with children
  • Strong ability to lead and organise a team
  • A relevant childcare qualification

Hours would be 7.15-9.30am and 2.30pm-6.30pm
