Basic qualifications: Scientific or Project Management background up to degree level. Previous work experience in a scientific or Project Management environment. Preferred qualifications: Demonstrable work experience within a Biopharmaceutical organisation would be beneficial. Details: The Biopharm Central Testing Laboratory (BioCTL) is part of the Global Manufacturing & Supply organisation and is based on the Stevenage site. The BioCTL performs release and stability testing for a range of Biopharm clinical and commercial products including Tanzeum/Eperzan, Benlysta and Nucala and also has responsibility for oversight of external contract testing. The BioCTL performs a range of physico-chemical and bioassay techniques and also provides technical expertise to the wider GSK organisation for these assay platforms. The BioCTL is a busy and dynamic department and is expanding to accommodate growth in the Biopharm portfolio in addition to continued support of existing products. Role: To perform a range of activities across the BioCTL Project Management function including deputizing for Project Managers in internal and external meetings, managing national and international shipments, sample management, metrics preparation and data entry and checking in The role involves assisting and in some instances deputizing for members of the Project Management and QC teams in a very busy biopharmaceutical testing laboratory. Tasks include receipt, handover and tracking of samples in the laboratories, preparing, checking and tracking a variety of paper packages including shipment and sample test records of analysis. The role involves scanning, filing and archiving documents, entering test data results into a web based tracking and analysis system and collating data for sample testing performed in the BioCTL laboratories. The role also involves support of the critical reagent program in the BioCTL including organising shipments to emerging markets. The role offers scope for the holder to assume full Project Management responsibilities.
