We have an opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join our Northern Home Counties team in Luton.

Reporting into the Principal Design Manager on Functional Issues and Project Director / Manager on Project Specific Issues, you will be expected to be responsible the functional leadership and management of design management resource on a major project or a smaller cluster of projects within the region or product stream, from pre-qualification to completion.

Key Accountabilities will include:

Assist with the production of Bid & Pre-construction information
Manage the production of the Contractors Proposals
Produce and negotiate the project specific designer agreements
Produce agree and manage, with all relevant parties, a realistic design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement and construction requirements.
Manage the design on site with the assistance of other site based resource
Ensure the design has been reviewed on all projects with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction
Assist the Principal Design Manager in the implementation of Continuous Improvement programmes and innovation.

Skills:

Advanced design skills

Experience:

Previous experience in contracting and/or Architecture / Engineering Practice preferred
Pre-construction / Bidding experience preferred
