My client is a rapidly growing business in Raunds, Northamptonshire. Cubex Contracts Limited work for growing SME's within an 80 mile radius. With their expertise in mezzanine floors, office refurbishment, warehouse design, and space planning they devise intelligent and creative work spaces to support modern business needs.

Main purpose of the role:

To generate and respond to sales enquiries, visit customers to obtain project specification and conduct a site survey and measure. Assisting the estimating and design team with the production of quotations, and following through with the customer to ensure conversion to order.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for growing the business within your geographical area by achieving monthly sales targets and conversion rates, maintaining agreed gross and net profit margins.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating leads using methods such as cold calling, networking, Barbour ABI leads, market research and targeted sales activities
  • Responding to enquiries including those generated by our website
  • Visiting customers to take a specification, measuring the site and assist with producing a drawing for the design team
  • Liaising with the estimating team where appropriate to support the costing of a project
  • Preparing quotations and managing the quotation pipeline
  • Following up quotations to ensure Company KPIs are met and enquiries are successfully converted into orders
  • Managing and improving the process of sales presentation
  • Ensuring that the CRM system is kept up to date

Other responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Commercial Director with customer satisfaction meetings and recording of customer satisfaction questionnaires
  • Providing monthly sales activity to the Directors
  • Attending networking events
  • Any other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Directors

Person Specification:

Essential Experience and attributes:

  • Demonstrable evidence of a successful career in sales
  • Understanding of products used within the internal fit out of a commercial building
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Self motivated and driven with good communication skills
  • Calm, patient and polite manner
  • A strong closer but without over pressurising customers
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Confident in presenting ideas to customers
  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Full, clean driving licence

Desirable Skills:

  • AutoCAD drawing experience
  • Previous estimation experience
  • Experience within the refurbishment or Mezzanine industry


GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in Maths and English essential
A Levels or equivalent desirable

Location and pay scale

Based in the Company's offices in Raunds, Northants
£28-£35k DOE OTE £45K
Mon-Fri 8am-5.30pm
