Residential Support Worker
Walnuts Residential home provides care for children and young people with a learning disability, complex needs and behaviours that can be deemed as challenging.
The Walnuts offers short and long term placements for young people that are between 5 and 19 years old.
We are currently looking for 3 members of staff to work 37 hours per week on a 28 day rolling rota for 52 weeks of the year.
Good interpersonal skills are needed to build strong relationships with the young people, their families/carers and other professionals.
With a proven experience of working with people who have disabilities, you will need to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
Your responsibilities will include: key working and completing and implementing care plans to meet individual needs. You will be required to attend supervisions and training.
Walnuts residential home & school share the same location & work in close partnership. You may also be required to assist in the school during the day.
Candidates must be at least 22 years of age, as stipulated in the Children's Homes Regulations.
